What is crystal clear is shattered
I had a champagne glass break and for some reason I saved it thinking I could do something with it. About 5 years later I was putting a new roof on my house and doing some roof wood repair and cut off a section of a big beam and it fell to the ground and broke. I liked the way it looked with some of the epoxy from the repair sandwiching the wood together visible, so I saved it. The glass and the wood found their way into this piece. I named it this because glass is interesting - it can be clear and see through but broken at the same time like a lot of things in life.
