Cloud

Where I live it can be foggy and cloudy - and I hate it. I am a sunshine person. These are supposed to depict the sun breaking through the cloud sequentially with the gaps of yellow getting wider and wider. This was extremely difficult to make. The cloud shape is two pieces of wood, a yellow painted 1/4" piece of plywood and then a white piece of 3/8" plywood over it. However, the gaps between the white pieces are different in each one and cutting them out was pretty hard. Then the stips of wood are placed on the white pieces. I was going to paint the bare wood tops of the slats, but liked the look with the shiny nails. The shadows these create with a spot light and as you walk past them the color changing is cool.
