Clean break
Back to working with discs again. I drew a sketch and I liked the energy of the pencil lines. And I love this shade of green. But it became apparent that would not translate with paint, even if I did individual lines with a thin brush. So the smooth gradient happened. And what a disaster. My cat tried to jump over it and landed on the wet paint and I was chasing him all over the house trying to catch him and wash the paint off his paws. He got paint all over the house and I did manage to wash him up. The color in the second bottom photo is accurate. The top one at night didn't translate well but you can see the nice shadows it creates with a spot light. All of these wall sculptures have mounting wood on the back that makes them sit about 1" away from the wall.
